It holds five spice rice (I was surprised how much rice I could fit in the bottom tier), mandarin slices and sammy's from white bread and pumpernickel bread with paprika spread in between.
And a close up from the bread on my new long picks :) They are really nice for things like this and I am very happy I bought those!
Since the new box was smaller then expected I made a snack bento for him to take along. The only thing is that all my tiny bento boxes are pink.. I hope my boyfriends colleagues won't tease him too much even though there is a cool Cheshire cat on the lid ;) The snackbento contains the other half of the mandarin, apple slices, chocolate-biscuit cake and koala cookies.
Tomorrow we will be going out to dine in a sushi restaurant with a large group of volunteers who helped us out at the Dutch Abunai! convention. This is an anime and Japanese culture convention which is held each year and I am a staff member there. I am looking forward to it very much :) But there won't be a bento tomorrow since my boyfriend has take the day off so he can come to the dinner as well. So I see you all in a day or two :)
Oh I almost forgot! The Blogging mum cooks is having a giveaway! Be sure to check out her very pink set!
Hi! I came here through bento central.
ReplyDelete*babykins likes bento*,too!
I always think the taste is more important than the cuteness for bento.
Your bentos are attractive enough!
I LOVE the Chestire Cat bento box! How cute and fun. Hope your boyfriend appreciates it. :)
ReplyDeleteHe does :) But he hid it under the table while eating so his co-workers couldn't see the very pink box ;)
