Bento #18 - Healthy bento

A new week means new bento's! Well a new week for us, because the boyfriend started his week of work today.

 
In the bento there is a "mini" quiche, lamb lettuce, cucumber & apple hearts and underneath the apple there is some crispy fish with mozzarella & sun dried tomato filling. I used some cucumber as "Baran". So I am going to enter this bento in the BOMB challenge at Hapa bento.

 

The quiches contain feta & sun dried tomatoes, egg and some fresh basil and are made according to this recipe from were rabbits. They taste totally delicious and the crust looks really nice when done this way. However, they are really hard to put in a bento because they stick out everywhere. After I took the picture I had to really stuff it in there to get the lid on. Maybe I did something wrong because they are clearly meant for bento use. Oh well did I mention they taste awesome?! I might try the ones with Zucchini & spring onions next time :)
